The midfielder of Manchester City Ilkay Gundogan hopes to be healthy for the start of the new season in the English Premier League.
The footballer is recovering from a knee injury and has not played in an official match in the year 2017 yet.
The 26-year-old German national impressed everyone with his performances last season before receiving a tough injury on December 14 in a match from dropping odds against Watford.
`I think I am on the right track. I am working hard. I hope to join fully in the preparation of the team, maybe not 100 percent, but I want to be completely rebuilt for the first round of the new championship. It is very difficult to watch the team from the sidelines.`, said Gundogan, who this week started light workouts.
Last summer, he passed from Borussia (Dortmund) to Manchester City for the amount of 20 million pounds. The new Championship in England begins on August 12.

Christophe Dugarry does not consider Totti a legend
The former French international Christophe Dugarry refused to assign Francesco Totti to the legendary football players of all time. The Frenchman played only one season in Serie A with the team of AC Milan as he is also a world champion and a winner of the title of the European Championships.

Rooney is out of the national team
The captain of the national team and the top scorer of England`s number one of all time - Wayne Rooney was again left out of the team of `the three lions` by the manager Gareth Southgate.
The 31-year-old Rooney, who earlier in the season lost his titular place in the club Manchester United is not in a group of 25 people for the world qualification in Group F with Scotland and the friendly game against France at the beginning of next month.
Rooney was not summoned by Southgate and for meetings with Germany and Lithuania in March this year, and the last time the English played was last November when he scored his record 53rd goal for the national team.
In the British group, however, there is the top scorer Jermain Defoe from Sunderland who scored against the Lithuanians, as well as the footballer from Tottenham Kieran Trippier. For him, that is the first call-up to the national team

RB Leipzig wants 38 million pounds for Keita
The management of RB Leipzig put the transfer price of 38 million pounds to Naby Keita, who is wanted by Chelsea and Liverpool.
Keita is one of the main players in Leipzig and is a huge part of the team`s strong performance during the current season.

Suso`s father has started negotiations with Milan
The father of Suso has begun negotiations with the management of Milan for the extension of the contract to the Spaniard. The winger has been making a great season and very quickly h established himself in the starting lineup of the Rossoneri.
Milan wants to renew the contract of the 23-year-old Suso before starting the transfer market, to preserve his presence there for the next season for sure. Suso was attracted from the team of Liverpool in the year 2015 and his current contract expires in 2019.

Slaven Bilic: `We need 40 points to remain at the Premier League.`

Luis Enrique thinks of Iniesta as an artist
