Grigor Dimitrov took the victory over Baghdatis in five sets battle

Grigor Dimitrov reached his fourth victory in the five set format in Grand Slam. The Bulgarian turned the former Melbourne finalist at the Australian Open Marcos Baghdatis with 4:6, 6:3, 3:6, 6:3, 6:3 after three hours and 30 minutes battle.

In the next phase, Grigor will meet Andy Murray. Until that, Dimitrov secured 180 points for the world rankings in 2015 year.

Dimitrov was far from convincing for a long time in this battle and Baghdatis dominated in the long rallies, especially during the first three sets. However the Cypriot got a problem and called for a physiotherapist on the court in the second part.

A major public observed the game for both players, but more vocal and attractive was Cyprus and traditionally supports Baghdatis in his participation in Melbourne.

Grigor had to protect his reaching to the quarterfinals in Melbourne 2014. Last year, he lost in four sets of rankings leader with Rafael Nadal.
