The former world number one Amelie Mauresmo became a mother. Last Sunday, August 16, she gave birth to a baby boy.
The news was announced in Montreal by Andy Murray, whose coach is the French woman.
"I want to congratulate Amelie for her firstborn child! I`m not sure that she watched our final via sport predictions with Novak, but I dedicate the title to her," said the Scot in an interview after the success in Canada.
The 36-year-old winner of two Grand Slam titles Mauresmo worked with Murray even when she was heavily pregnant and has been in his box at Wimbledon.
